We hope you have all had a very successful Confirmation and Clearing. Our latest data has already revealed some interesting facts about changing student behaviour...

Clearing survey

The initial findings from our Clearing survey suggests that 61% of applicants who secured a place during Clearing had visited that uni or college – further emphasising the importance of open days, and how they influence decision-making right up until the end of the cycle. We believe this also demonstrates the sustained interest a student will maintain in a particular provider. Some Clearing acceptances may have previously been unsuccessful, but then secured a place with you through Clearing. To maximise your conversion, have you considered offering virtual open days? These are a great alternative to face-to-face visits during the fast pace of Clearing. Please note that our Clearing survey is still currently open, and the full and final (weighted) results will be available to you in December.

Student Decision Report

Updated in July with 2019 cycle data, the latest Student Decision Report is now available. Enhance your marketing campaign using hard facts about what applicants actually think about you, how you compare to the sector, and importantly, how you compare to your competitors. 

All reports are priced according to the number of survey responses received, so whether you have an intake of 100 or 10,000, you will be able to maximise on the value of the tool. From December 2019 it will be possible to purchase your competitors’ Student Decision Report – we just take out the free text to protect students’ anonymity. 

Reference Reports

Need a demographic split? We have also introduced Reference Reports, which look at offer holder perception through the lens of age, sex, ethnicity, applicant domicile (EU/Non-EU), Tariff group, POLAR, SIMD, and UK country of domicile. Want to expand recruitment for a particular cohort? The Reference Reports detail what applicants from your target group look for in an HE provider, and how you measure up. Each report costs £200, or purchase all 34 reports for £1,000 + VAT and these are available for pre-order from 2 November 2019.
