Application Tracker
Understand your institution’s recruitment trends and performance
What is Application Tracker (App Track)?
App Track is a secure web-delivered service, available only from UCAS, which allows
UCAS member higher education institutions to track total applications on a weekly
basis, immediately identify trends, as well as compare their institution to their
competitor market. It can also drill down to subject and course code level, and
print off reports and graphs of applicant trends.
So how can App Track help your Institution?
Knowing on a weekly basis how many applications your institution has received for
the current cycle, and making comparisons with last year’s figures, will empower
your recruitment/admissions strategy and enable you to identify which target audiences
to focus on.
Your Institution will benefit from all of the following App Track features:
- Access to weekly reports on application statistics.
- Graphs and tables of applications trends for the last three years.
- Comparisons of your applications against competitor and national data (2006, 2007
and 2008).
- Analysis of your own, competitor and national trends by subject area.
- Unrestricted staff access to this key information (if desired).
- Application trends for your own courses in one easy look-up table.
- Summary tables of EU and other overseas applications.
- Downloadable weekly PDF reports (with access to archived reports from earlier weeks
in the academic cycle).
App Track 07 is an exclusive UCAS strategic tool and can be sourced only from the
UCAS applicant database.
Utilising the comparative applicant information in this detail will indicate how
you are faring compared with other groups of institutions and will help you identify
which subjects are thriving and which subjects need that extra recruitment push.
If your Vice Chancellor asks you on a Monday morning for information about applicant
figures and trends, with App Track 07 you will have an immediate source of reference!
So how much does it cost?
The yearly subscription fee is £2,875 (excluding VAT).
