What makes a page impression and a click?

A page impression or page view is a request to load a single page of a website On the internet a page request would result from a web user clicking on a link on another HTML page pointing to the page in question. According to Google Analytics, "a 'click' refers to a single instance of a user following a hyperlink from one page in a site to another."
